Interventional Oncology

Advanced, targeted treatment when cancer requires precision.

A cancer diagnosis changes everything. When tumors can’t be removed surgically — or when additional targeted treatment is needed — interventional oncology can play an important role.

At Well&You, we offer image-guided, minimally invasive therapies that target cancer and related pain with precision, while working closely with your care team to support your overall treatment plan.

A Clear Path to Answers

Cancer treatment requires careful coordination between specialists. At Well&You, we work closely with oncology teams across North Florida and South Georgia to evaluate when interventional therapies may benefit a patient. Our approach emphasizes:

Individualized treatment planning

Based on tumor type, location, and patient health.

Advanced Imaging and Vascular Mapping

This is used to guide treatment.

Minimally Invasive Techniques

Our care is designed to reduce recovery time.

Coordination with the Referring Oncology Team

We strive to maintain continuity of care no matter where you are on your healing journey.

Interventional oncology is not a replacement for cancer treatment — it is an important part of a comprehensive care strategy.

Targeted Cancer Therapy

Some cancers require highly targeted treatments when surgery is not possible or when additional therapy is needed. Our physicians use image-guided techniques to deliver treatment directly to tumors with precision.

Treatments include:

  • Y-90 Radioembolization – targeted internal radiation therapy used primarily for liver tumors
  • Implanted Ports – vascular access devices that allow patients to receive chemotherapy and other medications safely and efficiently

These therapies allow treatment to be delivered directly where it is needed while limiting exposure to healthy tissue.

Cancer Pain Management

Cancer and its treatments can cause complex pain that’s difficult to manage with medication alone, which is why Well&You offers advanced, minimally invasive procedures to help maintain function and quality of life during treatment.

Treatments include:

  • Bone Tumor Ablation – targeted destruction of painful bone tumors
  • Intrathecal Pain Pumps – medication delivered directly to the spinal fluid for severe cancer pain
  • Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS) and Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) for cancer-related neuropathic pain

These therapies allow pain to be treated at its source while reducing systemic side effects from high-dose medications.
